How this estimate works:
The calculator accounts for energy conversion losses and the phone's maximum charging power. A higher-wattage power bank does not automatically make every phone charge faster. The actual charging rate is limited by the phone, power bank, cable and charging protocol.

How Many Times Can a Power Bank Charge Your Phone?

The number of times a power bank can charge a phone depends on both battery capacities and energy conversion efficiency. A 20,000mAh power bank, for example, does not normally provide four complete charges to a 5,000mAh phone because some stored energy is lost during voltage conversion and charging.

Does a 100W or 140W Power Bank Charge Every Phone at 100W or 140W?

No. The maximum charging speed depends on the phone's supported charging technology. A 100W or 140W power bank can provide high output for compatible devices, but a phone that supports a lower charging power will normally draw only what it is designed to accept.

Why Is the Charging Time Only an Estimate?

Smartphone charging is not perfectly linear. Charging power can decrease as the battery approaches a high state of charge. Temperature, battery condition, cable quality, charging protocol and phone usage can also affect charging speed.

Use this calculator as a practical estimate when comparing power banks from 10,000mAh to 30,000mAh and output levels from 10W to 140W.
